Neon Hell Neon Hell

Rated 4 / 5 stars

That was really challenging!
I found one of the easter eggs "Eye of the hurricane," but I still couldn't beat level 6.
That boss was kinda hard. I kept missing the powerups because I was trying to survive the whole time :x
I don't know if the 2nd easter egg would've made it easier but I couldn't find it :P

Overall, this game was really enjoyable. It's a promising start!
If you keep making more games, you will definitely improve. I hope you don't stop after this :3

Good luck! :o

Thanks for the review and the testing Shantom.
The other easter egg is not in one of the levels.
I think you're the only one who made it to level 6 so far. Well done. Did you survive for long?

My biggest flaw is that I can't draw/create art in any way. Maybe if I get a bit better at programming I'll join a team or something like that sometimes.

This game is interesting and very challenging! :o
It was fun until I started to repeat the whole thing over and over because of silly mistakes. At some points, I hoped for an extra life or something but I know that won't happen (or is it? :P)

I thought the difficulty was fine. I think I can beat stage 3 if I can start there. I mean, I kinda gave up because I'm repeating the whole thing because of one mistake. I managed to get 2 medals though but I think the last medal is too difficult? we will see...

Anyway, I really enjoyed the game. Keep em coming ^^

Zanzlanz responds:

Thanks!
Again, I agree that starting from the beginning every time is annoying also, but I just wanted to keep it all absolute and on one scoreboard. It is not my intentions to make it annoying :)
My highest score is over 360 seconds, but That was before I added scoreboards so its not there for me to show off >.<

It's a nice little game, but the lag is killing it! :x
'Q' made it less laggy, which was the only way I could play this game..

Other than that, I thought this game was fun. I expected some kind of a challenge though (like your last game), but I guess it's still good for 48 hrs game?
You could've added more spikes? (more spikes = challenge)

Anyway, I would like to see more games from you.
Good luck! ^^

Heyyy! :D
Thanks for showing up :)
Sorry about the difficulty. It was suppose to be a simple platformer right from the start. Don't worry though, I'll have more challenging games to come >.<
See ya ;)

Block Runner Block Runner

The game is too hard..

You can't count on 4 jumps to beat the later parts. All you need is luck. If you are not lucky with the buildings you will fail.
You could've added some upgrades or powerups for the later parts to make it possible at least.

The slide was useless. I don't know what was the point of it since you end up running at the same speed as the monster behind you. Also, you can't jump while sliding, so you end up slowing down instead of moving forward. At some points, the slide glitched when I pressed the jump button, and I started digging through the buildings (going downward) and ofcourse I lost because of it.

I think the last 5 medals are impossible at the moment, unless you hack the game (according to the top scores.) Also, I should've gotten 1 of the secret medals, but for some reason I didn't.

Overall, good game but too hard. If you can make it a little easier, it would be great I think :o

thePalindrome responds:

Yeah, having the buildings blown apart just before you land can get kind of annoying...

I might add some sort of powerup or upgrade system later on...

Slide is kind of useless, I'll make it so that you can jump directly from a slide...

The last 5 medals are really hard, but that's the point! Master-of-Speed only got #2 because I still had debug mode and infinite jumps going on...
#1 I think may have hacked it, as he won't respond to my PMs...

Thanks for the great review!

Really Amazing!
I never realized how much you can do in one sec. I mean you can see the shape, realize it, and react to it in less than 1 sec.
At some points, I felt that one sec isn't really....one sec o,0? ( if you know what I mean :P )

And btw, I suggest you add WASD control. I prefer using my left hand for movement.

Overall, good game. Simple and original.
Keep it up! ^^

A nice challenging game. I managed to beat all lvls somehow but I gotta say that some of these puzzles were very difficult, and many of them were done in a smart way. Good job :P

There was one annoying thing though. I don't know if it's a problem with the controls or the way you programmed this game but sometimes the characters pushes the boxes way too fast. I mean it wasn't my intention to push that box but when I go close to it, it get pushed. Then I have to restart the whole puzzle again. It happened a lot, compared to other games I've played before. You can fix this problem by either adding some sort of delay before/while pushing the box (less than half a sec but it still counts as a delay) or you can add some undo button (undo last move).

I also noticed that some lvls weren't as difficult as the one before. For example, lvl 21 was a joke compared to many previous lvls. But I guess this is a minor issue; I mean maybe some people found it difficult? I don't know :P

Overall great game. I really enjoyed these challenges.
Keep em coming :3

Zanzlanz responds:

Wow fantastic job Shantom! You're the first I heard to solve all of the levels! Congratulations!

Oh well you do know there's undo! Press Z to undo the last thing you did! I can't believe you didn't use it! (It tells you in levels 1 and 2). Ouch well sorry you didn't notice that xD

Yes I'm not the master at level design, to be honest. Some levels turned out a lot easier. But you're right - the levels are more and less difficult for different people because all people think differently.

Thanks so much for playing! :)

Endless War 5 Endless War 5

Well, the game was nice and it was fun at the beginning. I liked the controls, and the multiple music for the missions. The graphics were also good.

What I didn't like though, is the fact that every mission is the same. Either your troops die and you destroy everything, or your troops stand there doing nothing and you destroy everything. So in the end, you have to destroy everything in every mission (which wasn't that fun later in the game).

It's a good thing that you added different kind of tanks and vehicles to choose from. Also, the upgrades are fine, but I didn't understand why you added some kind of side effects for most of them. I mean since it's an upgrade, there is no reason to add that many side effects. Some upgrades lost their value with that. You can count this as a personal opinion though; I mean, you can easily beat the game with these kind of upgrades ( I just didn't like the idea.. sorry :P ).

I hope you are not offended by this review. I finished the game, and trust me, it's better than many games I've ever played, or else, I wouldn't be writing this long review. :P
If you are planning on making EW 6 or some other game, I hope you take this into account.
GL! :3
